What does Car Bid Club do?

Car Bid Club manages the entire process of selling your car for you. You bring your vehicle to a nearby UVeye inspection system, we prepare a standardised listing package from the resulting condition report, and we present your vehicle to hundreds of dealerships in our network. Those dealerships compete to buy your car. We review the bids, present you with the strongest qualified offer, and explain exactly what it means for you. If you accept, we coordinate the documents, title transfer, loan payoff, payment, and vehicle pickup. Car Bid Club is not a dealership and does not purchase vehicles.

How is this different from taking my car to a dealership?

When you visit a dealership yourself, one buyer appraises your car and makes one offer. To compare offers you have to repeat that visit somewhere else, and each dealership inspects the car differently. With Car Bid Club, you complete a single inspection and your vehicle is presented to many dealerships at once using the same standardised information. You do not negotiate, take phone calls, or drive between stores, and you can decline the result without any obligation.

What does the $300 fee cover?

The one-time $300 service fee covers coordinating your UVeye inspection, preparing your vehicle's listing package, presenting the vehicle to our dealership network, managing the bidding process, presenting and explaining the strongest offer, and supporting the documents and closing coordination after you accept. The $300 fee does not guarantee a particular offer, sale price, or sale.

When is the $300 fee charged?

The $300 service fee is charged only if your car sells, and it comes out of your sale proceeds. There is nothing to pay to get started. We are not paid unless you are. That is deliberate: it means the only way we make money is by finding you an offer good enough to accept, and it costs you nothing to find out what your car is worth. The $300 fee does not guarantee a particular offer, sale price, or sale.

Do I ever pay anything up front?

No. We never ask for a card, at any point. The $300 fee is deducted from your sale proceeds when the sale completes, so there is nothing to pay and nothing to refund. Some cars cannot be sold through this service — for example a leased vehicle, a branded or salvage title, or a car that does not run. If yours turns out to be one of them once you answer the ownership questions, we cannot present an offer. Because the fee is only charged on a completed sale, you will not have paid us anything. What if I owe more on my loan than the car is worth?

If your loan payoff is greater than the sale price, there are no proceeds to deduct from. The difference, including the $300 service fee, is the amount you would need to settle in order to complete the sale. You are told this figure before you accept anything. Your dashboard shows the figure plainly before you decide anything, and an account manager will talk you through it.

Am I required to accept an offer?

Accepted Answer

No. You review the offer and decide. Declining takes a few clicks in your dashboard and you do not need to call anyone or give a reason. You are never obligated to accept an offer. Declining an offer does not create any further commitment, and because the $300 service fee is only charged when a sale completes, you owe nothing.

How long does the process take?

Most of the timeline depends on when you complete your inspection. After the inspection, offers are typically presented within 7 days. From enrollment through payment, a typical sale takes about 10 to 21 days. Loan payoffs, out-of-state titles, and document turnaround can extend that.

Where is the service available?

Car Bid Club currently operates in New Jersey and Florida. Your vehicle needs to be located in a supported state, and you need to be able to reach one of our UVeye inspection locations. If you are outside our service area you can join the waitlist and we will let you know when we launch near you.

Question 10

What happens during the UVeye inspection?

Accepted Answer

You drive slowly through the UVeye inspection system. It captures detailed imagery of your vehicle, including areas that are difficult to assess in a traditional walkaround, such as the underbody and tyres. There is no traditional manual walkaround, no test drive, and no sales conversation. Most visits take only a few minutes. We then use the resulting condition information to present your vehicle clearly and consistently to buyers, so you do not need to visit multiple dealerships for repeated appraisals.

Do I need to own the vehicle outright?

No. You do need to be a registered owner of the vehicle, or be authorised to sell it, and you need to be able to provide the title or authorise your lender to release it. If the vehicle is jointly owned, every titled owner will need to sign the closing documents.

Can I use the service if my vehicle has a loan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A vehicle with an outstanding loan is still eligible. Your account manager asks about your lender and estimated payoff amount so we can plan the closing. At closing, the loan is paid off first from the sale proceeds, then our $300 fee, and you receive the remainder. Both are already subtracted from the figure shown on your offer, so what you see is what you bank. If those come to more than the offer, you would need to cover the difference for the sale to complete — we tell you the exact numbers before you accept anything.

Question 13

Can I sell a leased vehicle?

Sometimes. Leased vehicles depend entirely on the leasing company's rules, and many lessors restrict sales to third parties or require you to buy the vehicle out first. You can still enroll a leased vehicle. We will review your lease details and tell you clearly whether a sale is possible before the process goes any further.

What documents will I need?

None during enrollment. We ask basic ownership questions, but no paperwork. After you accept an offer, we request what the sale actually requires: your vehicle registration, the title, a photo of your driver's licence for identity verification, and a loan payoff statement if there is a lien. Some states also require a power of attorney to complete the transfer. You upload documents securely from your dashboard. We tell you exactly which ones are needed and their status.

How will I be paid?

Seller payment is typically initiated within 3 business days after the vehicle is collected and the required documents are complete. The $300 service fee and any outstanding vehicle loan are paid out of the sale proceeds before the remainder is released to you. Payment is sent by electronic transfer to the bank account you confirm during closing, or by another method if the purchasing dealership requires it. We confirm the method with you before pickup.

Question 16

Who picks up the vehicle?

The purchasing dealership or its transport partner collects the vehicle. We coordinate the time and location with you, and you do not need to deliver the car anywhere unless you prefer to. Vehicle transportation is arranged between the seller and the purchasing dealership. Car Bid Club coordinates scheduling but transportation costs are not included in the service fee unless the offer states otherwise.

Can the final offer change?

A presented offer is based on the vehicle information and condition report available at the time it is made. If the vehicle's condition, mileage, ownership, or documentation differs materially at pickup, the buyer may revise or withdraw the offer.

Is Car Bid Club a dealership?

Accepted Answer

Car Bid Club is not a dealership and does not purchase vehicles. Car Bid Club is a vehicle-selling service that coordinates inspection, dealership bidding, and closing on a consumer's behalf. We are paid the same flat service fee regardless of which dealership buys your car or what it sells for, so we have no reason to steer you toward one buyer over another — only to find you an offer worth accepting, since that is the only way we are paid at all.

How is my personal information protected?

We share only what a dealership needs to make an offer: your vehicle's details, its condition report, and its general location. Your name, contact details, and documents are not shared with dealerships while bidding is open. Documents you upload are stored in private storage, are never publicly accessible, and are only visible to you and the staff handling your sale. Sensitive actions are logged.
